Frequently Asked Questions

  • Your initial session is half price—£47.50. Subsequent sessions cost £95. I offer a discounted first session so that you can ‘test the water' with minimal upfront cost. I also offer a huge discount for block bookings!

  • Sessions last 50 minutes. This may seem like a short amount of time but through personal and professional experience, this seems to be a good amount of time to make progress, without being too long and stressful. Longer sessions do not provide any extra benefit. When learning any new skill, little by little (chunking) is the best way forward.

  • In general, the first half of each session will be a time for you to offload and unpack what’s on your mind that day or what’s happened during that particular week. The second half will be geared towards hypnosis, with the final 5-10 minutes set aside for you to gently return to the present and lightly explore anything that came up during the hypno session.

  • This is a question that often gets asked. Unfortunately, it’s like asking “how long is a piece of string?”. Everyone is unique and facing different challenges, therefore it’s hard to put a time-frame on the amount of sessions an individual will require. Furthermore, some people will enter into hypnosis more readily than others and will gain more benefit from each session. What I can be certain of though, is that you will benefit from each session and each session will have a cumulative effect; meaning that each session will build on the last, and progress will gain momentum as time goes on. It’s very similar to psychotherapy or counselling; when you feel you no longer need guidance or assistance, you’re ready to ‘fly the nest’.

  • Yes!

I’m registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. I’m also a student member of the British Psychological Society.

  • I certainly am. I carried out my training with Evolve Life Coaching College and was trained extensively by the wonderful John Mill and Jo Clark. Of course, my training didn’t stop there. That was just the beginning. I’ve read, and continue to read, many books on hypnotherapy by many different well known Hypnotherapists and authors such as Milton H. Erickson and Dave Elman, to Lewis R. Wolberg, Gordon Ambrose and George Newbold. I’ve also read Paul McKennas collection which is someone you may well have heard of. I believe this gives me a more ‘rounded’ body of knowledge, which shows in my approach and my therapy. Furthermore, I completed a BSc in Psychology in 2025 at London South Bank University. This has given me a very good understanding of human psychology, and how the human mind works. I believe this makes me an even more functional and effective Hypnotherapist.

  • Many! I could list out everything I can help with but I don’t believe that would be helpful. Most Hypnotherapists do this but I’m not in that most bracket. If you’re experiencing any sort of challenge in life, no matter what it is, get in contact with me. It’ll cost you nothing and could be the start of your ‘new beginning’.

  • I do, its 07459346025. But, I prefer people to contact me via email, or WhatsApp, so that I can reply at a convenient time as I may be with a client, or in a place not suitable to take your call.

  • There could be many reasons why hypnotherapy didn’t work for you. But, the most likely reasons are that either you weren’t ready for change at that particular time in your life; or, more likely, that the hypnotherapist you previously saw didn’t spend enough time with you building trust and a client-therapist relationship. That relationship is very important in hypnotherapy, as is the trust element. My approach is to build on that trust, and the client-therapist relationship, gradually over time; progressively introducing you to hypnotherapy over a number of sessions. With this approach, you will become more adept at drifting into hypnosis more deeply and more easily; making change more likely and more permanent.

  • It isn’t. Hypnosis is simply a relaxed state of being; very similar to meditation. It can be likened to a dream state of sleep; except you aren’t asleep. You can even compare it to being lightly inebriated with alcohol; you’re more relaxed, your barriers come down, and you become more open to change and looking at things from a new perspective. Furthermore, you are always in control when in hypnosis and the therapist cannot make you do anything you don’t want to do.

  • Some people do; some people don’t. It varies from person to person and how deep you drift into hypnosis on that occasion.

There may be times when it might be more beneficial for growth, that you don’t remember the content of what we talked about or what I’ve suggested. In that sort of instance, I’ll make a suggestion while you’re in hypnosis, that you remember what was important and forget the rest. It’ll have no other implication on your memory, or memories, in general.
